Several skulls

Skulls are among my favourite subjects to draw. I find them fascinating and complex, like pieces from a puzzle ready to be assembled. In this particular case, the goal was to produce several drawings that could be easily compared to each other, using both standardised views and a similar aesthetic.

These drawings feature in a research article that I co-authored, and is published in Scientific Reports (an open-access journal from the publishers of Nature) under the title Unique skull network complexity of Tyrannosaurus rex among land vertebrates.
